If you work with digital marketing, there are 3 really "exciting" things happening right now that you need to know about:
Number 1: Consent Mode V2
Starting in March, Google requires you to implement Consent Mode V2 in order to continue measuring conversions from users who have declined cookies, as well as using remarketing audiences in Google Ads. If you don’t, these features will simply be disabled.
Number 2: Google Phasing Out Third-Party Cookies (Huge!)
1% of Google Chrome users will have third-party cookies disabled starting in January, and by mid-2024, it will be 100%. This will have a HUGE impact on things like Google Ads, Google Analytics, and many other third-party cookies on your website.
Number 3: The Data Protection Authority Has Woken Up
Just before Christmas, a Danish company was fined 200,000 DKK for not complying with the cookie directive. It’s time to get that cookie consent box on your site. Even I have to admit that. :)

I’m hosting a 60-minute webinar on the topic on January 10th.
